The project covers the whole backcountry of Triest, i.e. the Carst, Istria, and the whole border region. This area represents a homogeneous touristic area and as such needs to have a unified tourist offer, emphasizing the specificity of the territory. The goal of the project is to promote thematic tourism of closed groups and individuals to lesser known and touristically underdeveloped destinations.

With this project we aim to present the varied culture, traditions, ethnographic diversity, the natural and historical peculiarities of the border region between Friuli Venezia Giulia and Slovenia.
